Creating Roadmaps

Learn how to generate and customize your learning paths.

Generating a Roadmap

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Click the "New Journey" button.
  3. Enter a topic (e.g., "React Native").
  4. Select your current experience level.
  5. Click "Generate".

The AI will take a few seconds to analyze the topic and construct a custom curriculum.

Customizing Your Path

Once generated, you can:

  • Reorder Modules: Drag and drop to change the learning order.
  • Add Custom Notes: Attach personal notes to any node.
  • Regenerate Sections: If a module isn't quite right, ask the AI to regenerate just that part.

What the AI Considers

When you generate a roadmap the model weighs your stated topic against your chosen experience level and preferred learning style — project-based, theory-first, or skill-focused. It then sequences material so each module builds on the last, front-loads the prerequisites you will need, and skips fundamentals you have already demonstrated. The same topic can therefore produce a very different path for a beginner than for someone mid-career.

Review Before You Commit

Your roadmap is a starting point, not a contract. After generation, scan the module order and the milestones inside each phase. Most learners tweak two things: the order of optional modules and the depth of a section they already know. Adjusting these before you begin keeps every session on material that moves you forward.

Sharing and Cloning

Every roadmap you create stays in your workspace, and you can publish it to the community library when it is ready. Published roadmaps become browseable at the Roadmaps page, where other learners can open them, preview each phase and milestone, and clone the path into their own workspace. Cloning respects your structure while giving the new learner an editable copy they can tailor to their own level.

Troubleshooting

  • Generation stalls: wait a few seconds and retry — the model can take longer on broad topics with many sub-skills.
  • Too advanced for you: regenerate the affected modules and choose a lower experience level for that section.
  • Missing a milestone: ask the AI to regenerate the module with a narrower description of what you need.
